Snack Attack in Madison

Madison is the historic capital of Wisconsin featuring its flagship college, University of Wisconsin Madison. Aside from the hustle and bustle of the state capital, Madison offers some of Wisconsin’s best food. Ian’s PizzaGreen Owl Cafe, and the traditional Nepalese cuisine of Himal Chuli Restaurant are local hotspots, but there is one that takes the cake.

Tucked away in a small corner of the bustling Atwood neighborhood is Madison’s most iconic local establishment: Monty’s Blue Plate Diner. People from all over Wisconsin flock to Monty’s for not just amazing menu, but also it’s amazing atmosphere. This eclectic diner was built inside of a retro gas station. Monty’s feels like a diner from a different time. This is the kind of place where wait staff know the regulars by name and treat you like you’re part of the community.
