Spooner rodeo As one of the Top 100 Rodeos in the U.S., Spooner's Heart of the North Rodeo always attracts skilled contestants. Rodeo Weekend is only one highlight of Spooner's busy event calendar every year, occurring in early July. Spooner Rodeo events include bull and bronco riding, steer wrestling, roping, barrel racing, bareback riding and team roping. The town of Spooner really goes all out to make the Rodeo weekend enjoyable for all ages. Other events include a Saturday afternoon equestrian parade, the Coronation of the Rodeo Queen, live music every night, and the popular Cowboy Sunday morning service held outdoors at the rodeo arena.
