St. Croix County is rich in history, offering a plethora of activities for visitors and locals alike. Emerging cultural activities are spearheaded by the Phipps Theater in Hudson and the Knowal theater in New Richmond. Annual festivals featuring everything from apples to hot air balloons abound. For the outdoor enthusiast there is tubing on the Apple River, sailing on the St. Croix River, camping in pastoral Willow River State Park and over 200 miles of snowmobile trails. Not to be overlooked are the counties 9 golf courses. Whatever one’s interest may be, when visiting this county they are assured of taking away many pleasant memories.

The Wildwood Trail is a seven-mile off-road hiking, biking and snowmobiling trail on a former railroad right-of-way, which runs from the Village of Woodville south to the St. Croix/Pierce County line, through the Town of Eau Galle. St. Croix County’s rolling hillsides provide an excellent terrain for bicycle riding. The County’s unusual vistas from lakes to rivers to farmland and pastureland provide scenic variety. Town and county roads provide interesting alternatives for bicyclists locally and for those staying at camping facilities in and near the county.
