Denmark

A FUN place to visit a GREAT place to live

If you’re looking for a site for your business then consider coming home to Denmark… and bring your business along. Denmark is only 15 minutes south of Green Bay, Wisconsin and conveniently located on Interstate Highway I-43. Located halfway between Green Bay and Manitowoc and near the Fox Cities, the Village has seen substantial growth in the past few years and the future looks even more promising. Given the Village’s geographic location, it’s able to draw on a talented labor pool all the way from Oshkosh, Manitowoc to Green Bay.

Devil’s River State Recreational Trail is a recent work in progress, adding to the area’s rich recreational assets. A 14-mile trail, it will run from Pine Street in the Village of Denmark to Rockwood just north of Manitowoc. The trail is named after one of the most scenic spots on the trail, the Devils River Crossing. It’s breathtaking. The rail trestle towers 100 feet above the river. The trail also travels near the Maribel Caves, through rural fields, woodlands and over a bridge spanning the West Twin River and through Francis Creek. A depot-themed shelter will be built on Railroad Avenue in the Village to serve as the trailhead.

Daybreak Neighborhood Park is a newly developed small park of approximately 4 acres. It features a walking trail, a gazebo, a future playground area, a future shelter with restrooms, and an off-street parking lot. This beautiful neighborhood location also has several public demonstration areas that include a Children’s Garden, a Butterfly Garden, a Wildlife Garden and a Rain garden. There is also a windmill with a pond aeration system in the southern part of the park.

At Denmark’s Annual Danish Fall Festival, Danish and Regional food and drink are “on tap”, as are Arts and Crafts, an Old Fashioned Parade and Award Winning Cheeses. This late September event also includes an old fashioned parade and live musical guests. Local dairies provide free samples and sell their award winning cheeses at special festival only prices. Other events include: arts & crafts show, Annual Chili Contest, kid games, petting zoo, historical museum tours, blacksmithing demonstration, commemorative pie plate & pie auction and free carriage rides.
