There'll be cowboys ropin' and ridin' bulls in La Crosse this weekend, a Native American music and dance celebration in West Allis, and a new digital imaging planetarium will soon open at the Milwaukee Public Museum. Also, the city of Madison will be hosting their Winter Arts Festival, and a holiday parade will happen this month in Oshkosh. There's so much to do Around Wisconsin.

Bull riding has come a long way since a few cowboys dared each other to ride one all those years ago. Watch a 150lb cowboy take on a one-ton bull. Shows at 8PM each night. The La Crosse Center Bull Riding/Fighting Spectacular is back and will keep you at the edge of your seat waiting in anticipation to see what the bulls will do next. Bullriding events offer the best of both family fun and entertainment!

Gi Wse Gises (Hunting Moon) Pow Wow in West Allis

Celebrate Native American culture and traditions at the Hunting Moon Pow Wow sponsored by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. More than 200 dancers and 12 drum groups from throughout the United States and Canada will compete for prize money during this competition Pow Wow. Prize money to be awarded totals more than $70,000. Exhibitors will sell Native American jewelry, crafts, and ethnic foods. Pow Wow attendees will witness an event steeped in tradition, full of color and sound, and featuring some of the finest Native American dancers in the region.

Daniel M. Soref Planetarium Grand Opening

The Daniel M. Soref Planetarium will open as one of only nine theaters in the world with digital imagery. It will be the largest of its kind in Wisconsin, and the first and only facility of its kind in the region. Journey to the stars in Wisconsin's largest and most modern dome theater at the Milwaukee Public Museum. In addition to IMAX films and astronomical planetarium programs, the renovated theater will feature multimedia presentations ranging from geology to rain forest ecology. 2006 Winter Art Festival in Madison

The Winter Art Festival features 140 Wisconsin exhibitors with a wonderful selection of pottery, watercolors, fiber, wood, glass, photography, jewelry, graphics, sculpture and more. Browse many fine artists and craftspeople, musical entertainment, a children's purchase area, great food, and take part in a silent auction. The show is held in the exhibition hall of the spectacular Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace Convention and Community Center, which is located 3 blocks off Madison's Capitol Square.

24th Annual Holiday Parade in Downtown Oshkosh

Join thousands of people as they line Main and Oregon streets to watch the popular Oshkosh Holiday Parade. Bands, floats and a visit from Santa Claus highlight the event. Four high school bands will perform along with the Oshkosh Area Community Band and the fifth grade band from St. Frances Cabrini School in Oshkosh. Helium balloons, a popular part of past holiday parades, will be back this year featuring a snowman, a gingerbread man, a Christmas stocking and a toy soldier. Other parade entries include animals from the Menominee Park Zoo and stilt walkers called The Jolly Giants!
