Alma

Step into Living History

Alma is a quaint, historic Mississippi River town with a beautiful panoramic view of the mighty river from Main Street.  The revitalized Main Street is home to a unique and growing collection of small art galleries, antique and gift shops which complement the general store and bakery. There are several hotels, motels and other lodging options available in and near town. There is also a  beach and recreational area with  a city courtesy dock, the only place on the Mississippi River where you can view the Lock & Dam from the middle of town, and spectacular secret and public gardens right in town. Unique stairway streets make downtown different than any other on the Mississippi.
