Winnebago County

For approximately one week every summer, Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh becomes the world’s busiest airport: 2,500+ flights per day, as Winnebago County hosts for the Experimental Aircraft Association. During that week pilots, EAA members and interested observers descend into the area to enjoy daily air shows, military aircraft, 2000+ “show aircraft”(warbirds, ultralights, antiques, classics and homebuilts), workshops, forums and plenty of enlightening conversation.

Wisconsin’s Fox Cities offer visitors urban style in 16 communities that haven’t lost their small town warmth, safety or affordability. Excellent facilities, great shopping, arts and nightlife are all here along the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. A rich paper-making history has fueled economic prosperity and one of the fastest growing urban areas of Wisconsin.
