The 2nd Annual "Cata-Pumpkin Launch" is bringing teams from across the country to compete for prizes and just plain bragging rights about who can launch a 10-pound pumpkin the furthest, by the use of catapult or trebuchet machines. The World Punkin Chunkin Association endorses the event and holds the World Championship each November. New this year is the air cannon division where compressed air is used to launch the pumpkins. One competitor at the 2005 World Championship launched a pumpkin 4,331 feet! Both divisions will be judged and cash prizes will be offered.

Pumpkin Run ATV Rally in Hurley

Grab your ATVs and some friends and head for where Hwy 51 ends... and the fun begins. The Pumpkin Run features spectacular fall colors, great trails, a poker run, mud pit and more. Highlighting Friday's activities will be the Pumpkin Run ATV Parade at 6 p.m. through downtown Hurley. Week-end activities will be held throughout the county. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials will be featured at businesses throughout the county throughout the weekend. Iron County boasts the most extensive ATV trail system in the state.

Annual Fall Festival / Cowboy Re-Enactment in Laona

Step back in time as Camp 5 stages an authentic Cowboy Reenactment and robbery of the "Lumberjack Special" Steam train. Come and ride the train and experience the Wild West up close. The cowboy reenactors, known as the Green Bush-Wackers, will portray, in authentic period costumes, cowboys, bandits, a preacher, mountain men and card sharks. After the train robbery, the group will form a posse to bring the bandits to justice.....or justice will be brought to the bandits. The entire family will be thrilled to experience this exciting and interactive performance. Come take part in this Wild West Robbery!

25th Annual Fall Heritage Festival in Mount Horeb

Hundreds of fine artists and crafters line "The Trollway", Mount Horeb's historic Main Street, lined with life-sized mythical creatures. Experience their Norwegian heritage with a farmer's market, buggy rides, quilt show heritage demonstrations, and with the Sons of Norway Host Frokost, an authentic Norwegian Fall breakfast. The 19th Annual AMCORE Bank Faire on the Square is Saturday, October 14th around the square in Downtown Baraboo. The event, which runs from 9:00AM to 4PM, features 200 art and craft exhibitors, kid's activities, mouth-watering food on Eat Street, a bountiful Farmer's Market, live music stages and fun for the whole family! On the side stages, pianists, harpists, dulcimers, pan flutists and other solo performers will help set a relaxing tone to the event.

Hailing from Northern Michigan's Upper Peninsula(known as the UP or Da Yoop), this group has been entertaining us with their comedy songs and performances since 1975 with favorites like "Second Week of Deer Camp," "Rusty Chevrolet" and "Deer Hunter's Widow." It's time to laugh and Da Yoopers are sure to make that happen!

Friday festivities include a Fish Boil, Childrens Cake Walk, and a Bonfire By The Bay. Saturday: Pancake Breakfast, inflatable games, and the Fall Festival Parade. 12PM-4PM: Jerry Krueger Polka Band at Beach Park. 8PM-11PM D.J. Teen Dance at Village Hall. Sunday 10AM: Start of Fall Classic Run (5 & 10 Mile Run, 4 Mile Walk, and 1/2 Mile & "Junior Fall Classic"; for ages 4-10). Classic Auto Show and Arts & Craft Fair all weekend. Park And Ride - park at the Country Walk Shops or the Sister Bay Sports Complex and ride the Shuttle downtown.
