Race Track Park is a former sulky race track that has been updated to become a major community park/sports facility. Saunder’s Creek meanders through the northern part of the park which allows for some picturesque nature trails to exist. The border of the park is wooded, which the interior has several baseball fields, soccer fields, and playground for the children. There is a small deer park that is for the residents and visitors to watch the deer interact and change with the seasons. The Conservation Club is also located in the park which hosts trap shooting leagues, tractor pulls, and can be leased for meetings and receptions.
Whether you want to explore, shop, dine or just relax, you’ll find Edgerton is a precious gem waiting to be discovered in Rock County. Edgerton’s downtown is a treasure trove of history. Its museums, points of interest and historic buildings take you to another era when the town was “The Tobacco Capital of the World.” In our downtown area you will find old tobacco warehouses and the Edgerton Rail Road Depot, a local Victorian landmark slated for complete renovation. All stand as monuments to the town’s past.
