It’s 1956. The five officers of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein have gathered for their annual quiche breakfast — as they say, “no men, no meat, all manners.” Then the Soviets actually drop the bomb, the doors seal shut, and these “devoted widows” are trapped in the basement together with a great deal of egg and a few secrets that may not survive the apocalypse.
You’re not just watching — you’re a card-carrying member of the Society! And roughly a third of every performance is improvised, so no two breakfasts are ever quite the same.
