BREAST CANCER AND THE ENVIRONMENT AND ADVANCES IN DETECTION AND TREATMENT
In recognition of this October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Clean Water Action Council of NE Wisconsin is hosting a conference, “Breast Cancer and the Environment, & Innovations in Early Detection and Treatment.”

Clean Water Action Council of Northeast Wisconsin will hold a conference on breast cancer to include environmental factors, prevention, early detection, and advances in treatment. The prevention portion of the program will be provided by the Silent Spring Institute who will talk about the risk from environmental exposures for developing breast cancer. Dr. Colette Salm-Schmid will talk about advances in early detection. Genetic counselor, Sumedha Ghate will talk about who may benefit from genetic counseling and hereditary cancer testing. Dr. Umang Gautam will discuss treatment options for advanced breast cancer and researched based innovative therapies.
