The Brewers were part of the American League from their creation as an expansion club in 1969 through the 1997 season, after which they switched to the National League.

The Milwaukee Bucks professional basketball team has called Milwaukee home since 1968. Owners Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry purchased the team from Herb Kohl on April 16, 2014. The Milwaukee Bucks currently play their home games at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
