Rice Lake

Enjoy Our Hospitality

Located in the beautiful Red Cedar River valley, the City of Rice Lake is the largest community in Barron County and serves as a center for commerce, manufacturing, health and educational services. Rice Lake was founded as a logging camp in the 1850s and continues to thrive today. A variety of recreation, from fishing and hiking to golfing and gaming, draws visitors to the town. A recreation of what life in this beautiful region was like during the logging era is displayed at the Pioneer Village Museum, just south of Rice Lake.
