  • May 10 - Oct 12 Oshkosh - The Impressionist Figure: Selections from the Albright-Knox Art Galler. Presented exclusively by the Paine Art Center and Gardens, this exceptional exhibition features depictions of the human form in French art from the 1850s through the turn of the 20th century. Highlights include paintings and works on paper by renowned Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, such as Cezanne, Gauguin, van Gogh, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, and Seurat.   • Sep 20 - Sep 20 Oshkosh - Dragon Boat Race and Festival. Dragon Boats, 40 feet long and with 20 paddlers, race on the Fox River. The fastest growing water sport activity in the world today. Racing from 8AM-4PM. Heats every 20 minutes. Riverside Park. For more information call (920) 424-2242.
  • Sep 27 - Sep 28 Oshkosh - Earth Science Club Gem & Mineral Show. Exhibits and demonstrations. Rock, mineral, bead, jewelry and supply dealers. Door prizes and special events for kids.   • Oct 3 - Nov 1 Oshkosh - A Theater of Lost Souls - Haunted Experience. A Theater Of Lost Souls Haunted House (or ATOLS). ATOLS has become legendary for providing THE most scary haunted attraction in the state. ATOLS is handicapped accessible and large groups and bus groups are welcome. Warning ATOLS is rated PG 13 for violence, gore, blood and intense situations. 7-11PM on weekdays; 7-Midnight on weekends. Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E County Road Y.   • Oct 24 - Nov 1 Oshkosh - EAA's Haunted Hangar. Experience a spooky tour of the EAA AirVenture Museum by flashlight with ghost stories, halloween activities and treats along the route.   • Nov 8 - Nov 8 Oshkosh - Holiday Parade. Annual Christmas parade featuring floats, marching bands, animals, walking units, giant balloons and Santa Claus. Main Street. Event starts at 10:00AM. For more information call (920) 303-2266.
  • Nov 21 - Jan 11 Oshkosh - Nutcracker in the Castle. Revered as an "American Castle," the Paine Art Center and Gardens presents the Nutcracker story within the historic estate's ornate interiors. From the opening scene with a giant Christmas tree to the magical Land of Sweets and the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy, the tale unfolds throughout elaborately decorated rooms with each setting featuring an illustrated book telling the story.   • Nov 26 - Jan 1 Oshkosh - Celebration of Lights. Annual drive-through of the city's largest park filled with animated displays and traditional seasonal decorations. Nightly carriage rides.   • Dec 8 - Dec 8 Oshkosh - EAA's Christmas in the Air Presents Just "Plane" Chocolate. FREE Community event. "Just Plane Chocolate" is a competition to discover the best chocolate dessert in the area. Musical, Madrigal and choral groups from the Oshkosh area will be performing throughout the day. Cookies and refreshments will be available. See Santa arrive by helicopter to meet all of his fans. Make this your newest holiday tradition. 2-8PM. EAA AirVenture Museum, 3000 Poberezny Road.
