Exhibit-goers wearing 3-D glasses take an exciting walk inside a sheet of paper. Enlarged fiber microscope images are projected onto the walls and floor, surrounding the visitors and inviting them to reach out amongst the fibers. Also be a display of prints and paper made from unique materials such as silk, cattails, & corn husks. Included in regular admission price - members free. Mar 23 - Dec 30 Appleton - Picturing Main Street: Postcards From Our Past. Drawing on The History Museum's collection of more than 500 picture postcards dating back to the turn of the century, showcasing historic downtowns throughout our region. Scores of original postcards as well as large scale replicas will be featured. A computer kiosk will allow visitors to discover hundreds of additional postcards. Also a do-it-yourself postcard station where visitors can create and mail their own personalized postcard. Additional hands-on activities and supplementary educational and community programs will also be offered.

Come any time during open hours, 10AM-4PM. Make paper baskets and spring art. Learn about depth perception and sight & the evolution of 3D technology. Participate in the nation-wide Nanodays celebration by exploring the world of the super small. Hands-on activities involve: measurement and size scales, nano applications for strength and water-proofing, effects of surface area, and bucky-balls.
