Cape Coral Florida

Cape Coral, Florida is sometimes called the Venice of Florida. The city reportedly has 400 miles of canals and access to the Gulf of Mexico. There are many sights, sounds and activities for visitors, whether you enjoy a round of golf or just want to float down the "Lazy River" at the Sun Splash Family Waterpark, there is so much to experience and do!
The Coral Oaks Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course built within a century old oak hammock, boasting large TifEagle greens, contoured fairways, and rich natural surroundings. The 8 lakes and 37 bunkers on the course add to its allure and make it entertaining and challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The Cape Coral Historical Museum was established by The Cape Coral Historical Society to preserve the history of Cape Coral and Southwest Florida.
Originally serving as the clubhouse at The Cape Coral Country Club, in 1977 it was moved to Four Freedoms Park and used as a multi-functional facility. In 1983 the Historical Society moved the building to Cultural Park for the establishment of the Museum.
Animals are not permitted in athletic parks, playgrounds, beaches, picnic areas, nature trails, boardwalks or piers, but there is a doggie park located at Rotary Park for our four-legged friends. Wagging Tails Dog Park includes an area for small and large dogs, as well as several park benches and shaded areas for owners to socialize while their pets play and interact with other dogs.
