Friday November 27th: Lighted Holiday Parade & Community Tree Lighting starting at 6PM. Enjoy a beautiful parade with all floats lighted. Tree lighting follows.
Complimentary "Treats On The Streets", warm refreshments and sweet treats. Saturday November 28th: Meet Santa's Real Live Reindeer from 2PM-5PM and take a family photograoh with these beautiful animals. There will also be horse drawn wagon rides from Noon to 3PM. The season officially begins when the town's Christmas tree is lit up at the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony from 4:30PM - 6:00PM. Bring the entire family to experience and enjoy the fresh pine garlands and LED holiday lights that will make all of Rittenhouse Avenue sparkle with holiday cheer! After the ceremony, warm up in the Lakeside Pavilion and enjoy Holiday Treats while you listen to Christmas carols performed by the Rittenhouse Inn Singers. Bayfield rests on the shores of Lake Superior and is the gateway to the Apostle Islands. Free to the public.

Downtown Madison Holiday Open House

Activities include free holiday trolley rides & gift bags, holiday lights and carolers, special offers & complimentary refreshments at downtown shops and restaurants, and fun for kids and families at Overture Center for the Arts, including free Kids in the Rotunda performances with shadow puppeteer Daniel Barash, cookie decorating, and holiday photos provided by Isthmus. Free holiday trolley rides with downtown gift bags and treats for kids. The trolley runs on State Street and the Capitol Square, 10AM to 6PM on Nov. 28. Catch at Metro bus stops. Santa Arrives at Christmas in Minocqua

Be there with the whole family as Santa arrives in downtown Minocqua at noon with a big helping hand from the Minocqua Fire Department. Kids of all ages can visit with Santa while they get their pictures taken. Santa will also pick the two winners of the incredible Tree-Mendous Raffle. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards the 4th of July Fireworks and the New Year's Eve Fireworks. At 4PM Santa will lead the children through downtown to Veteran's Park to sing carols and countdown to the lighting of the town's holiday lights. All this fun is happening in Gaslight Square in downtown Minocqua.

Annual Christmas event with residents & businesses. There will be decorating contests, Holiday Open Houses at Cassville businesses, a Parade of Homes, musical programs and holiday gifts & crafts, homemade cookies, vendors, candy sales at the Municipal Building, horse & wagon rides & caroling in the village of Cassville. Christmas Parade at 6:30PM - one of the areas only nighttime Christmas Parades. Features beautifully lighted floats, marching bands, antique vehicles, and drill teams. Santa brings up the rear in his larger than life sleigh. Location: Downtown Cassville. Event starts at 4:00PM and ends at 8:00PM.

20th Annual Bridge To Wonderland Parade

Bridge To Wonderland Parade

December 5th, 2009 Chippewa Falls
Santa is the star of the nighttime Bridge to Wonderland Parade. Not only that, the 315-acre Irvine Park and Zoo is a blaze of lights from Thanksgiving until New Year's Day. Make plans now to come and attend a magical holiday evening with this illuminated and musical parade, featuring about 50 floats lit up and playing Christmas music. Enjoy free hot beverages during the parade at participating businesses. Before the parade, visit the petting zoo with reindeer, camels, and mini-horses (3-5PM). The parade theme for 2009 is "Christmas on Ice." Downtown Chippewa Falls, from 6:00PM to 7:00PM.

The Little Match Girl

Playtime Productions brings their production of this classic children's tale to the Opera House stage for one day only. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's tale about a poor young girl with a burning desire to find comfort and happiness in her life. Desperate to keep warm, the girl lights the matches she sells, and envisions a very different life for herself in the fiery flames filled with images of loving relatives, bountiful food, and a place to call home.
