37th Warrens Cranberry Festival

The World's Largest Cranberry Festival. There is something for everyone at Cranfest, including shopping, contests, a parade and much more. This year will be the festival's 37th year. Since the first festival in 1973, attendance has grown from 3,500 to over 110,000 each year. Cranfest boasts over 850 arts & crafts booths, 350 flea market booths and 100 farm market vendors. If you get hungry during all that shopping, head over to one of the 100 food vendors for some tasty treats. Various locations thtoughout the village of Warrens.

Crex Meadows: Fall Wildlife Festival

Crex Meadows Wildlife Area

October 03rd, 2009 Grantsburg
Free 90 minute bus tours of the magnificent Crex Meadows Wildlife Area depart every 2 hours starting at 1PM. Again this year is a special, extra long, three hour bus tour leaving at 10AM and a one hour sunrise tour for Sandhill Crane viewing at 7AM. A variety of wildlife related programs and activities, including a presentation with live birds, and programs on wild-edible plants, wildflowers, and mushrooms are held throughout the day. The Friends of Crex food stand will offer brats, burgers, beverages, and a variety of snacks. 102 East Crex Avenue.
