18th Annual Great Northern Classic Rodeo |

September 4th thru 6th, 2009 Superior
The Great Northern Classic Rodeo is a family event with eight traditional rodeo events, including Mutton Bustin', Calf Chasing and the Watermelon Crawl for the little cowboys and cowgirls. This is a family event wrapped up with some great entertainment, food, activities, and a whole lotta FUN! Plus lots of other kids games for the little ones to enjoy. Friday night is the Tough Enough To Wear Pink Rodeo Performance at 7PM to support for breast cancer research. The 18th Annual Great Northern Classic Rodeo will be held at: the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds in Superior.

Labor Day Weekend. Admission charged - 12 & under free! Advance tickets now available! Wisconsin Scottish invites you to the Wisconsin Highland Games this Labor Day weekend at the Waukesha Expo Center. Wisconsin's largest games feature Celtic competitions, performances, and demonstrations from pipes & drums to the longbow, Highland dance to haggis hurling, and sheep herding to feats at arms! Please note that the games and events do not begin until Saturday morning. Friday night is pageantry and celebration! Waukesha Expo Center Grounds.

Bombay Bicycle Club Wright Stuff Century Ride |

September 6th, 2009 Mount Horeb
The Bombay Bicycle Club is proud to host the Wright Stuff Century - a classic Wisconsin ride; the grand-dad of the century rides in this area! A one day bicycle ride of optional distances of 30, 60 or 100 miles through hills and meadows on lightly traveled roads. Volunteers ride for free, get a free meal, a gift, and a big pat on the back! Registration opens at 7AM, and the course opens at 7:30AM. Registration for the WSC will be limited to 600. Register early to ensure your spot! Tyrol Basin Ski Lodge, 3487 Bohn Road, Mt Horeb, WI.

Platteville - 12th Annual Historic Re-enactment |

September 11th thru 13th, 2009 Platteville
Held in Platteville's Mound View Park Every year thousands come from miles around to watch demonstrations and learn about local history. Artisans demonstrate numerous skills, including flintknapping, silversmithing, candlemaking, spinning and dyeing, fingerweaving, blacksmithing, white metalwork, woodworking, cooperage and more. Old-time music, food, kettle korn, and merchants' wares are available throughout the Encampment. This exciting event coincides with Platteville's "Dairy Days" festival.

Cheer on more than 2,000 athletes as they swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles. Don't miss it as the competition begins at 7AM at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center and concludes at Midnight around the Capitol Square. Need a bite to eat? Check out the Race Day Cafe at all of our events. It is always located near the transition area and the Ford Ironman Marketplace. Whether you are spectating, volunteering or participating, you won't want to miss out on this excitement. Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

29th Annual Tomahawk Fall Motorcycle Ride |

September 17th thru 20th, 2009 Tomahawk
The 29th Annual Tomahawk Fall Ride brings in more than 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts and others to the area each September. The event not only brings in entertainment (this year's headliner is Edgar Winter!) and the newest motorcycles and accessories from Harley-Davidson Motor Company, but it also raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). In fact, the Tomahawk Fall Ride is the largest local fund raiser for MDA in North Central Wisconsin. A huge event for a great cause! Downtown.
