Art Fair on the Square has grown into a can’t-miss-it summertime destination for fine arts enthusiasts from across the Midwest. The 51st annual summer art fair, organized by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, will feature music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as the work of nearly 500 artists exhibiting works in mixed media, ceramics, drawings, graphics, prints, fiber, leather, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalworks, paintings, photographs, sculpture, 3D mixed media, and wood.Capitol Square, 2 E. Bike Northwoods Tour XI

July 11th thru 17th, 2009 Cable
This northwoods adventure is a brand new loop tour that starts in Cable at the Telemark Resort and continues on to Mellen, Washburn, Port Wing, Superior, Solon Springs and ending back in Cable. Cyclists will enjoy the scenic Chequamegon Bay, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Amnicon Falls State Park, Pattison State Park and journey through the deep woods of Northern Wisconsin. You might even stumble upon the self-proclamined World's Biggest Ball of Twine-weighing in at 10 tons. Average of 60 miles per day. Rider limit: 400. Telemark Resort.

ChalkFest in Downtown Wausau

July 11th & 12th, 2009 Wausau
ChalkFest Wausau will be held Saturday, July 11, from 8AM to 8PM and Sunday, July 12, from 8AM to 4PM. The City Square will once again be transformed by artists and their colorful pastel art drawings. This is the 6th year for this sidewalk art festival for artists of all ages and levels of ability to participate, and for art enthusiasts to observe and enjoy. Local artist Mort McBain will do a special drawing for the Balloon Rally & Glow on Friday, July 10th and will teach free pastel on sidewalk technique classes on Wednesday, July 8 at 1PM and 3PM. 400 Block downtown.

Start your own team or volunteer for this event on July 11, 2009, the morning of Dundee Days. Take a beautiful scenic jaunt on the trails of the Kettle Moraine forest. You will have a great time and make a real difference in the lives of the thousands of people affected by Parkinson Disease. All funds raised will go to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association for patient education and support and for research. Help fight this debilitating disease.

Two days of racing features the top racers from the United States and Canada, each hoping to capture the World Champion honor and the large cash purse.
