July 4th, 2009 Eagle
Take part in a grand and historic event like those held in small towns during the 19th & early 20th centuries. Enjoy old-fashioned games, a band concert, and other historic activities. Visit with re-enactors from the Civil War-era Company F 29th Infantry U.S.C.T., a unit that portrays the role of African-American soldiers in the Civil War. See their camps, learn about their weapons, and understand what the life of a soldier was like during the Civil War. Admission to the museum is free for veterans with proof of service. July 4th, 2009 Green Lake
Begin the day at 7:30AM with a pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall. Festivities start at 2pm with live music by Zack Attack, parade, food, games, face painting, duck races, petting zoo, farmer's market and much more in downtown Green Lake. Don't miss the boat parade passing through Dartford Bay around 2PM. This year's theme will be "See you in the Movies". A spectacular fireworks display off a barge on beautiful Green Lake by Deacon Mills Park will begin at dusk.

July 4th, 2009 Menomonie
This event celebrates Indepedence Day with music, games, good food, fun and fireworks. This year will be bigger and better than ever! Kicked off by the Red Cedar Medical Center’s Firecracker Run/Walk, this annual fest is the largest fun-filled family event celebrating Independence Day in the Menomonie area, located in beautiful Wakanda Park along the shores of Lake Menomin. $1 per person admission into the park. Free live music all day with the grand finale fireworks. Minimal fees based on the various vendors. From 11AM until after the fireworks.

July 11th & 12th, 2009 Madison
Art Fair on the Square has grown into a can’t-miss-it summertime destination for fine arts enthusiasts from across the Midwest. The 51st annual summer art fair, organized by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, will feature music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as the work of nearly 500 artists exhibiting works in mixed media, ceramics, drawings, graphics, prints, fiber, leather, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalworks, paintings, photographs, sculpture, 3D mixed media, and wood.Capitol Square, 2 E. July 11th thru 17th, 2009 Cable
This northwoods adventure is a brand new loop tour that starts in Cable at the Telemark Resort and continues on to Mellen, Washburn, Port Wing, Superior, Solon Springs and ending back in Cable. Cyclists will enjoy the scenic Chequamegon Bay, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Amnicon Falls State Park, Pattison State Park and journey through the deep woods of Northern Wisconsin.
