11th Annual Wisconsin Film Festival

April 2nd-5th, 2009 Madison
A four-day exploration of new American independent dramatic and documentary films, animation, experimental restorations and revivals, featuring close to 200 movies in ten theaters within walking distance (about 1.4 miles apart) in the heart of Madison. The Festival also features the work of Wisconsin filmmakers. There are dozens of restaurants around the Capitol Square and on State Street, ranging from good cheap eats to some of the most sophisticated dining in the Midwest. Founded in 1999, the Wisconsin Film Festival is the state's premier film festival. Don't wait - advance ticket sales are already ahead of last year!

Only Fools Run At Midnight 5k

Premier Physical Medicine & Wellness Center hosts this quirky 5K on the streets of downtown Minocqua and along the wooded Bearskin Trail at Midnight on Saturday evening. Register in advance online or the evening of the race beginning at 10PM at Lakeland Union High School. Come in costume or in your running gear...but don't forget your headlamp or flashlight!! The first 700 racers will receive a goody bag and all participants will receive a long sleeve commemorative t-shirt for their efforts! Start/Finish at the American Legion, 121 W. Front Street.
