Santa's Steam Train Special

December 12th thru 14th, 2008 Plymouth
In December 2007, over 500 children were able to visit with Santa on the caboose of the train, and 5000+ people took in the sights, sounds and smells of an authentic steam engine train. As an added bonus, visitors were able to watch as 13 tons of coal and 8,000 gallons of water were loaded into the engine as it refueled for its departure. Santa will again visit with a limited number of children(exact number to be announced later). Train will arrive Friday evening, stay all day Saturday, and leave Sun afternoon. Call for exact times. Northwoods Players Madrigal Dinner

An entire evening of entertainment as you enjoy dinner, fun and frolic in the Renaissance style of Medieval times. Indulge yourself with an excellent seven-course meal served formally while the 16-member royal court entertains you with an exceptional variety of great music, as well as several humorous skits performed by the Madrigal Singers including the king, queen, town crier, jester, juggler, trumpeters, knights, and serving pages. 6:30 - 9PM each night. An 1890s Christmas Holiday at Villa Louis

Holiday visitors experience three faces of the holiday season: preparing for a visit from St. Nicholas, Christmas day in the morning, and a New Year open house. 10AM-4PM(with lamplight tours from 5:30-7:30PM on December 13). The mansion has just undergone a top-to-bottom documentary restoration that has returned the Dousman home to the splendor of its 1890s heyday, using British Arts and Crafts interior designs inspired by famed designer William Morris. Olbrich Botanical Garden: Kwanzaa Celebration

Olbrich hosts Madison's annual community Kwanzaa celebration. Kwanzaa is a seven-day celebration of the African American spirit and culture. This non-religious celebration will feature music, poetry, singing and dancing. The event is free and open to all members of the community. Admission is free, but limited seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Olbrich Botanical Gardens & Bolz Conservatory, 3330 Atwood Avenue. Event starts at 1:00PM and ends at 3:00PM.
