Special Event: This is the tenth year that the Canadian Pacific Railways Holiday Train will be taking to the rails to raise cash, food and awareness for hunger relief efforts in North America. The train, decked out with thousands of holiday lights, will be staging a live holiday music show. Show your support and bring non-perishable food items and cash donations.

Santa and his reindeer will visit with children in Lakefront Park. Children bring your lists, parents bring your cameras. new this year - lots of Reindeer Fun at the tent in the park! Kids make-n-take crafts, music, nature programs and entertainment. Look for Reindeer Rest Stops throughout downtown Hudson where you'll find more crafts, face painting, a story hour, and refreshments. Take a wagon ride throughout the downtown and enjoy Hudson's new Christmas decorations. Free. Lakefront Park, 100 Walnut Street in Downtown Hudson. Noon - 4PM.

Merrill - Annual Holiday Parade |

Located in Lincoln County, Merrill is one of the gateways to the great Northwoods, with the mighty Wisconsin River winding through it. Every year this friendly town hosts its annual Holiday Parade, with caroling, floats, Christmas lights and - of course - Santa Claus in the spectacular evening parade. What better way to enjoy it than to bundle up and take in all the festivities. Following the parade, the holiday tree with more than 50,000 lights will be lit. The Parade begins on the Westside and ends with the Courthouse Tree Lighting in downtown Merrill. Event starts at 5:00PM.

Bridge To Wonderland Parade |

December 06th, 2008 Chippewa Falls
Downtown Chippewa Falls lights up during this festive event, sure to bring a sparkle to the eyes of children and adults. Share a magical holiday evening by enjoying this illuminated and musical Main Street parade with friends and family. Free hot beverages are available during the parade. Before the parade, visit the petting zoo that includes reindeer, camels and mini horses in the parking lot on the corner of Bridge and Birch Street (3-5PM). There will also be donation barrels available to drop off non-perishables for the Salvation Army. The 2008 theme is "Christmas on the Farm". The parade begins at 6PM.

Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh |

Join the stage show adventure Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh, and journey through the Hundred Acre Wood where you'll come upon the most playful group of pals. Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit and Roo are planning a surprise birthday party for Pooh and your invited! This interactive extravaganza will have kids out of their seats and dancing in the aisles! In addition to these main characters, there are three hunny-helpers, who appear before the show to entertain the crowd, during the show to help with the story and during intermission. Showtime is at 1:30PM.

Santa's Steam Train Special |

December 12th thru 14th, 2008 Plymouth
In December 2007, over 500 children were able to visit with Santa on the caboose of the train, and 5000+ people took in the sights, sounds and smells of an authentic steam engine train. As an added bonus, visitors were able to watch as 13 tons of coal and 8,000 gallons of water were loaded into the engine as it refueled for its departure. Santa will again visit with a limited number of children(exact number to be announced later). Train will arrive Friday evening, stay all day Saturday, and leave Sun afternoon. Call for exact times. Plymouth Railroad Depot, Thayer Street.

Northwoods Players Madrigal Dinner |

An entire evening of entertainment as you enjoy dinner, fun and frolic in the Renaissance style of Medieval times. Indulge yourself with an excellent seven-course meal served formally while the 16-member royal court entertains you with an exceptional variety of great music, as well as several humorous skits performed by the Madrigal Singers including the king, queen, town crier, jester, juggler, trumpeters, knights, and serving pages. 6:30 - 9PM each night. An 1890s Christmas Holiday at Villa Louis |

Holiday visitors experience three faces of the holiday season: preparing for a visit from St. Nicholas, Christmas day in the morning, and a New Year open house. 10AM-4PM(with lamplight tours from 5:30-7:30PM on December 13). The mansion has just undergone a top-to-bottom documentary restoration that has returned the Dousman home to the splendor of its 1890s heyday, using British Arts and Crafts interior designs inspired by famed designer William Morris.
