Back in 1914, the concept of Cheese Days originated from the notion that if some little town in Illinois could have a festival commemorating sauerkraut, then a celebration based on cheese would be an even better idea. Enjoy cheese tasting and cooking demonstrations, live music, Swiss cuisine, a cow milking contest, and The Swiss Colony Cheese Days Parade at the oldest and largest food fest in the Midwest. Also plan to visit the 19th Annual Cheese Days Arts And Crafts Show. Courthouse Square in Downtown Monroe.

The 11th Annual Berghoff & Blues Festival, presented by the Monroe Lions Club. Some of the finest blues music in the midwest from 11AM-9PM. Food and beverages on the grounds amidst the melodious sound of harp, slide guitar, and great beer! Bring your chair and/or blanket to spend the day. A full-service bicycle tour in the fall beauty of the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. Breakfast & lunch, rest stops, sag support, door prizes, and a free massage after the ride. The routes showcase some of Sheboygan County’s most beautiful and memorable areas. The 100-mile Century and the 65-mile Metric Century pass through beautiful stretches of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The 50-mile and 25-mile routes provide views of rolling hills, farmland, and forests. The 12-mile route provides a few rolling hills and some fun-filled rest stops. Liz Woodworth has been collecting stories, ideas and characters for years, and she finally put them to good use. This show is for adults, and contains adult language and content. Located in Washburn on the south shore of Lake Superior at Chequamegon Bay, Stagenorth is a performing arts center designed to entertain, educate and include the community in live theater. Meet French and British soldiers (and their families) of the mid-18th century in a living history encampment environment. See soldiers drilling, plotting battle strategy and using period weapons, as they would have in the 1750s. Food available for purchase. Brown County Historical Society members admitted free with their membership cards. Throughout its long history, BCHS members have been active in historic building preservation, conducting research, providing information to the public and stimulating interest in the complex multi-cultural heritage of the area.
