Also a "Strongest Man on the Bay" contest, the Northland Lumberjack Choir, raffles, a Waiter/ Waitress Relay, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, coloring contest for ages 2-12, a Pie Eating Contest and Bull Riding with Oscar the Bull! Witness a historic encampment and battle re-enactment at Wisconsin's only War of 1812 battlefield - now the lawn of the Villa Louis. Learn firsthand about the July 1814 British assault on Fort Shelby in a battle scenario each afternoon, and tour the camps to learn about military life in 1814 during the last days of British reign. The historic Villa Louis mansion has just undergone a top-to-bottom documentary restoration that has returned the splendor of its 1890s heyday. Calling all serious Muskie hunters! This catch & release muskie tournament is being held on the Phillips Chain of Lakes; $14,400.00 in total cash prizes (based on 60 two-person teams); $7,500 to 1st place winner, $3,000 second, $2,000 third, $1,000 fourth & $900 fifth. You can register for the tournament at Ross's Sport Shop, 286 North Lake Avenue, Phillips. Prizes, drawings and raffles at 4:30PM at Harbor View on Long Lake in Phillips. The highlight of the summer is the annual Head of the Lakes Fair, featuring nationally known headliners. At the fair enjoy midway rides, games, 4-H displays, vendors and more for the whole family.Rides and Midway, Senior Bingo & livestock auction Thursday. Friday: 11:30AM Kiddie pedal tractor pull, 7PM 4x4 truck pull, Saturday: 8:30AM Open Game horse show, 9AM ATV pull, 11AM Dairyland Garden Tractor pull, 5:30PM Tractor pull, 6PM Quality meats auction. Sunday: 8:30AM Open Horse show & Apple River Riders drill team, 7PM demolition derby. No admission for grandstand events except demolition derby. Biggest/Tallest/Longest Weed In Polk County Contest!
