Calling all wizards and muggles for a family-friendly day of wizard-themed activities. You'll find fun craft projects, wizarding classes and a challenging scavenger hunt. The day starts at 8AM by Breaking the Fast in the Great Hall where you'll be entertained by Esteemed Professors and a Curious Crew of Characters. Meet a live Courier Owl, visit the Wizard Bank, search for the Fire Stone, attend Wizard Classes, make Wizard Crafts, play a Lawn Wizard Chess Game, participate in a Tasting Contest, ride the Blue Nite Bus to a mysterious Magic Show, and watch Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone on the Al. Ringling Theatre big screen! Downtown Baraboo.

Summer Candlelight Hike |

Enjoy a self-guided hike along the beach and wander the sand dunes along the cordwalk. The trail is lit with tiki torches for this annual summer event. Refreshments served at Sanderling Nature Center. Refreshments served at Sanderling Nature Center. Sorry, no pets or strollers allowed on the hike. Park at Sanderling Nature Center or North Beach lots. Several events are scheduled throughout the year at Kohler-Andrae. Most events are free, but all vehicles entering the park need to have a vehicle admission sticker. Kohler-Andrae State Park, 1020 Beach Park Lane. Event starts at 8:30PM and ends at 10:30PM.

Looking to fill a weekend with more than just a bike ride? Trempealeau is the place to be. This ride is held in conjunction with the famous Catfish Days in downtown Trempealeau. It's always a great time with the fisherman and bikers exchanging stories - the big hill we climbed or the big fish that got away! The ride starts along side the Mighty Mississippi River and travels through Perrot State Park, then north into the hills of southern Trempealeau County. Race participants have six categories for men and women, as well as tandem and hand cycles.

Witness a historic encampment and battle re-enactment at Wisconsin's only War of 1812 battlefield - now the lawn of the Villa Louis. Learn firsthand about the July 1814 British assault on Fort Shelby in a battle scenario each afternoon, and tour the camps to learn about military life in 1814 during the last days of British reign. The historic Villa Louis mansion has just undergone a top-to-bottom documentary restoration that has returned the splendor of its 1890s heyday.
