Door County YMCA's 15th Annual Blossom Run |

May 10th, 2008 Egg Harbor
The Door County YMCA presents the 15th Annual Blossom Fun Run, held at the Boat Launch Park in Egg Harbor. All ages are encouraged to participate. 2 & 5 mile races will begin promptly at 8:30AM, 1 mile youth race at 9:30AM. Awards ceremony around 10:15AM. Door Prizes awarded, a T-shirt to each participant (with entry fee), and medals for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places by age group. Also awards for top finishers in each category. The Youth Run for kids is a non-competitive 1 mile run for kids ages 12 & under. Registration from 7-8AM.

12th Annual Journeys Marathonontest |

May 10th, 2008 Boulder Junction to Eagle River
Headquartered at Eagle River Chamber office and held on a course starting from the woodland background of Boulder Junction, meandering through the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest and past scenic lakes and finishing at Riverview Park in Eagle River. USAT&F-certified. Events include full marathon, half marathon, power walk, 5K and fun run for kids 12 and under. Race Registration/Packet pick up is Friday from 5-9PM during an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner. Post-race celebration includes relaxation, hot buffet dinner, live music and much more.

Third Annual Oregon Micro Brew Fest |

This year's Brew Fest anticipates attracting 1,200 beer enthusiasts from all over Wisconsin and out-of-state, and hopes to feature at least 120 beers by 40 brewers. Sample local and regional brewers, a variety of beers, great food, Favorite Beer Award and live music. Music Entertainment by Queenie & the Blue Cats and Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo. Sponsored by the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce. A portion of proceeds benefit downtown road construction communications project. Event starts at 1:00PM and ends at 6:00PM. Liberty Park, Oregon Center Drive.

Mother's Day Tours at the Lincoln Tallman House |

This 26-room Italianate villa style mansion is the only private home still in existence in Wisconsin that can boast Abraham Lincoln as an overnight guest. Also included in the tour are the Tallman Horse Barn and Wilson King Stone House. Guided tours of the 1850s mansion reveal the unique architecture of the building and the lives of the family that occupied it. Lincoln-Tallman House, 440 N Jackson Street. "Garden Talk" Live Broadcast - Bayfield in Bloomer |

Bayfield In Bloom is a month-long celebration of blooming wildflowers and orchards with gardening activities, demonstrations, entertainment, plant sales, garden tours and plantings. Come see the 14,000 new daffodils that welcome you to this quaint harbor town. Bayfield and surrounding area.

Manitowish Waters Birding Festival |

Explore the wonders of birding during peak warbler migration as Great Lakes area experts lead trips and workshops aimed at improving birding skills, knowledge, conservation and habitat measures. Previous guests have included Laura Erickson, Dr. Charles Kemper, and Dr. Stanley Temple. Birders of all levels are welcome, including children. Friday's reception from 5:30-7PM features hors d'ouevres, beverages, guest presentation and music. Pre-registrants receive an early-bird rate and a canvas tote filled with goodies! Stoughton - Syttende Mai Folk Festival |

May 16th - 18th, 2008 Stoughton
America's largest celebration of Norwegian Constitution Day. Two parades, folk dancing, rosemaling, hardanger and quilt exhibits, ethnic food, arts & crafts fair, Syttende Mai Run, Norwegian (bunad) style show, and an Ugliest Troll Drawing contest. Other features include Village Player performances, street dances, Viking encampment, a canoe race, 17-mile Walk, a sailboat race on Lake Kegonsa, and local food stands everywhere! A king and queen, and prince and princess are chosen to reign over the festivities. Fri 9AM-10PM, Sat 8AM-10PM, Sun 8AM-4PM. 532 E Main Street.

26th Annual Morel Mushroom Festivalr |

May 17th & 18th, 2008 Muscoda
The festival honors the tasty mushroom - enjoy it fried, or you can purchase some to take home and enjoy later. Mushroom Contest: Biggest, smallest, most unique, most in cluster. Also a City Track Meet open to the public, Horseshoe Tournament, 2nd annual Morel Mushroom 7's Rugby Tournament and more. Saturday night: Fireman's annual steak feed followed by fireworks.
