2nd fantastic edition of the Follies is coming to the historic Al. Ringling Theatre. St. Joe's parishioners & friends present another entertaining old-fashioned vaudeville show full of song, dance, & fun, & more fun. Many of the acts are already lined up, but there is room for more chorus members, dancers, & pirates. If you're interested, call the Parish Office at 356-4773. Of course, if being on stage is not your "thing", they still need a great big audience to appreciate all that great big talent! Show times: 7:30PM, Friday, 1:30 & 7:30PM Saturday. Come celebrate Hudson's spectacular winter ballooning event. Torchlight parade with kazoo marching bands - Friday, 7:15PM, downtown historic Hudson. Moonglow or Field of Fire - Saturday, 7 PM - balloons light up the dark for approximately 1 hour, bring your camera! Other features: Marketplace & Craft Fair (Saturday 8 AM-8PM), pancake breakfasts, smooshboarding, volleyball in the snow, dances and other winter activities. Balloon launches Sat & Sun at 7:30AM; optional flight 3PM Sat. Location: E.P. Rock Elementary School.

Adams County Friends of the Library presents great food, crafts, loads of chocolate, prizes, raffles & drawings. This annual fundraiser is taking place at the Middle School on Main Street in Adams. Admission is $1.00. There will also be a Book Sale. Vendors have a variety of booths selling everything from jewelry to books to candy and other tasty treats. Florence County in the state's northeastern corner is as wild and natural as Wisconsin gets. If you are looking for a fun outdoor experience to celebrate winter, the Chili Ski-In is for you! This is an event is for cross-country skiers & snowshoe enthusiasts! All levels of experience are welcome. Hot chili, hotdogs, and beverages will be served at the Adirondack lean-to shelter on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Lauterman Cross-Country Ski Trail. Free to the public.Located located about 13 miles west of Florence on Highway 70.

Ground Hog Day Prognostication & Celebration 2008

Jimmy the Groundhog will make his annual prognostication early Saturday morning at St. Albert the Great Parish. Will it be an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter? The event is free admission. Festivities begin with a community breakfast in the morning, there is a nominal charge for the breakfast. There will be entertainment & performances by local groups and clubs, booths selling Groundhog Day memorabilia, snacks and other fun items. 2420 St. Albert The Great Drive. Event starts at 7:15AM and ends at 11:30AM.

Winterfest in Green Lake

This Winterfest starts at noon on Friday with the Annual Fisheree and crowning of Miss Winterfest, then Saturday activities from 9AM-5PM include food and refreshments, Vintage Snowmobile Show, helicopter rides (weather permitting), Hovercraft display & demonstration, camel rides & Petting Zoo, volleyball tournament, Great Soup Contest, volleyball tournaments, raffle(drawing at 4PM Saturday), Karaoke entertainment, carriage rides, medallion hunt, ice carving and ice bowling, ice golf, and Games for Young & Old. Wisconsin High School Nordic Ski Championships

February 8th thru 10th, 2008 Minocqua
In 1981 the very first Wisconsin High School Nordic Ski Championships were held in Minocqua. Now, in their 27th year, the Championships have returned to their birthplace. Over 400 high school athletes will be in competition. Though some trails will be designated for racing, recreational skiers will have many kilometers of trail available. Races begin at 10AM on Saturday and run through 4PM and Sunday from 9AM to 1PM bring the whole family out to cheer on the high school teams! Wisconsin Public Television Garden Expo

February 8th thru 10th, 2008 Madison
The 15th annual Garden Expo event hours are: 4-9PM Friday, Feb. 8; 8 AM-6PM Saturday, Feb. 9; and 10AM-4PM Sunday, Feb. 10. Wisconsin Public Television, Friends of WHA-TV and UW-Extension-Cooperative Extension Horticulture Team host the event. Garden Expo offers educational seminars and demonstrations, hands-on workshops, an exhibitor mall with a central garden display and appearances by Shelley Ryan host of WPT's The Wisconsin Gardener series.
