The Mosinee blues and jazz musician brings in a veritable orchestra of talent for this holiday blues and jazz show. Local performers and fun Christmas music are the cornerstone of the "12th Annual John Altenburgh Christmas Concert" and "Christmas Then & Now," both of which will be performed in the Grand Theater in Wausau. Altenburgh's show will feature musicians such as Otis McLennon, Janet Planet and Randy Sabien, who are well-known across the state and Midwest. Grand Theater, 415 4th Street.

The Lettermen certainly have earned their letter sweaters in the music business with 18 gold albums, and averaging an album a year since the group first started over 45 years ago. Tony Butala is an original member of The Lettermen and newer group members include Donovan Tea and Mark Preston. Their top hits include Put Your Head on My Shoulder, The Way You Look Tonight, Hurt So Bad, and more. For the Christmas show, the guys put their signature harmonies to work on favorite Holiday songs and gift us with a selection of their greatest hits! 7:30PM.

Harmonious Wail draws from the rich influence of the European gypsy musicians, most notably Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli who created and developed what came to be known as Gypsy Swing. The Wail consistently receives an excellent response from audience members, and re-engagements from presenters. The band has toured throughout the United States and Europe over the past 17 years and in October '04 they traveled to Taiwan for a 2-week tour. Main Street Station Public Market, 215 Main Street. Attention all boys and girls! Santa and Mrs. Claus will leave the sleigh, Rudolf, and the other reindeer on Madeline Island to rest up while they catch a ride to Bayfield on the Madeline Island Ferry. They'll be arriving at the dock at the Lakeside Pavilion at 11:30AM. Upon their arrival, kids will be able to meet Santa, talk with him and have an opportunity for a photo. Each child will also receive a 'goody bag' from Mrs. Claus, and lunch compliments of the Bayfield Chamber.

December 18 - 19, 2007 Mishicot
"Christmas at the Museum" is a celebration of Christmas in a small village schoolhouse in 1873 with a huge tree, decorated with hundreds of old ornaments and lights from the late George A. Schmidt collection. In addition to musical selections provided by individuals and groups, the Friends of the Museum will serve Christmas cookies and hot cider. Last year, 14 area musical groups and individuals took part. The dates of the event are from 5:30 to 8:30PM. Dec. 17-19, and 26-27, and Jan. 4-5, with an afternoon performance from 2 to 4PM on Jan. 5.
