Autumn Harvest Festival |

October 13 & 14, 2007 Wisconsin Dells
A celebration of the autumn harvest season. Activities include scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin decorating, an arts & crafts fair, farmer's market, a strolling magician, hay and pony rides, live entertainment, micro-brew tasting featuring more than 28 microbrewers, and fall color tours. Clowns, face painting, and petting zoo for the kids, and lots of great food will be waiting for you. Join in on the Straw dig, free caricatures, and the Pumpkin Ring Toss. All activities located in Downtown Wisconsin Dells. Free spectator admission.

10th Annual Fat Tire Memorial Tour |

October 13, 2007 Lake Geneva
The Fat Tire Memorial Tour is a fun bicycle ride on paved roads, beginning with a mass group start at Champ's Sports Bar & Grill. It consists of nine designated stops at sponsoring taverns. Proceeding at your own pace, the ride is approximately 21.5 miles and the "rest" stops are evenly spaced. The ride is dedicated to Tim Hibbard and Krissy Zadler with all proceeds funding college scholarships to Badger High School graduates, and donations to local bike trail maintenance and construction. Two scholarships are awarded annually and presently eight scholarships are being funded.

1st American World Clydesdale Show |

October 12 thru 14, 2007 Madison
The thundering hooves of over 600 Clydesdales are coming.....and for the first time ever on U.S. soil! The Clydesdale Breeders of the United States is proud to announce the first U.S. World Clydesdale Show, the greatest gathering of Clydesdales in history! The best of the best will compete for over $70,000 in prize monies. A full slate of scheduled classes: halter classes, riding classes(Western & English), and single to eight horse hitch classes. Youth programs: Junior Saddle Classes, Halter Classes, Driving Classes and a Decorating Class. Alliant Energy Center.

Shakespeare has never been so funny! In an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays, three actors take on the daunting task of performing 37 plays and 154 sonnets in under two hours, illuminating the world of Shakespeare through football, swordplay, and hip-hop. All sixteen comedies are condensed into one story containing a shipwreck, an influential duke, and his three sets of identical twins. EAA’s Slightly Haunted Hangar

For younger visitors, EAA’s Slightly Haunted Hangar is a fun and friendly way to celebrate Halloween. They’ll have the opportunity to trick or treat in the EAA AirVenture Museum, play holiday-themed games, participate in Halloween activities and even come dressed in their favorite costume. Admission is included in regular Museum admission. Plus, don’t forget that EAA members and children ages five and under are always admitted free to the EAA Museum. Join in on all the fun! Volunteers are needed for this event. EAA AirVenture Museum, 3000 Poberezny Road. 11AM-2PM.

5th Annual Commodores Ball |

An annual fundraiser for the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and its educational mission. The Ball is a fantastic evening of gourmet food and beverages, unique auction items, dancing and more. Individuals and businesses can get involved as sponsors, prize donors or attendees. 5th Madeline Island Fall Festival & Scarecrow Display |

Not that anyone really needs a reason to visit Madeline Island, off Wisconsin's northern tip in beautiful Lake Superior, but here is an excellent one! Join in this annual celebration of local art, fall color and community. There'll be something for everyone! Pumpkin activities, art displays and demonstrations, special events and sales at island businesses, and good ol' fun! This also coincides with the Woodcarving Weekend and the Scarecrow Display. Located just 2 1/2 miles off the mainland, Madeline Island is accessible via the Madeline Island Ferry Line, private boat or airplane.

Unhaunted most of the time, on October 20, the Maiden Rock Apples Hayride & Corn Maze will be haunted by all kinds of trouble causing spirits and ghouls! Come out and have a great afternoon or night full of screams and laughs! People 12 and older are welcome to go through the maze alone. All kids under 12 must be escorted by a person age 12 or older.
