World Dairy Expo is a five day event showcasing the finest in dairy genetics and the newest technologies available. More than 65,000 will attend, and can take advantage of free education seminars on dairy management and other industry issues. Explore farms from around the world by the Virtual Farm Tours. The tours, presented by the producers themselves, are the destination for attendees looking to learn more from their peers. View national judging and skills competitions at the intercollegiate, 4-H, FFA, and post secondary levels. Junior dairy cattle exhibitors also compete in the show ring and in showmanship competitions. Alliant Energy Center.

46th Annual Bayfield Apple Festival

60,000 visitors attend Apple Festival from throughout the Midwest to indulge in caramel apple sundaes, apple pie on a stick, apple dumplings, apple brats, and more along with other festival food staples like turkey legs, sweet corn and bloomin' onions. Over 46 orchards are represented. Live entertainment, a full blown kids' carnival, a huge arts & crafts show with over 150 booths, and a parade are only a few of the events that make Apple Festival a tradition not to be missed. On the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield.

Fall Fun Festival & Cider Pressing Party

October 5th thru 8th, 2007 Washington Island
This annual community celebration celebrates the coming of autumn with lots of fun games, and food for the whole family. Visitors can view the autumn foliage as they travel the ferry to the island. This festival is held at the Farm Museum grounds from 10:30AM to 3PM each day. Food and beverages will be available all weekend. Also, there will be horse-drawn wagon rides, hayrides, children’s games and a cake walk. Bring your own apples and press them on the antique cider press to make cider! Washington Island Farm Museum, Jackson Harbor Road.

Booya & Fall Festival

Beaver Creek Reserve

The Friends of Beaver Creek Reserve are excited to hold its Booya & Fall Festival. What is booya you ask? It is a stew-like soup that is served on a large scale. It consists of a base or broth to which other meats, vegetables and seasonings put into the mix. Free admission, nominal fee for Booya and food items. Brats and hotdogs can also be purchased at the festival. Guests are invited to explore the Reserve's many activities, including: Solar sightings, the new Analemmatic Sundial, live animals, wildflower hike, Ozseeker the Clown & Paddy Beaver, childrens' activities and games, Farmer's Market vendors, raffles and Gift Shop sale. Hobbs Observatory area. 1- 4PM.

10th Annual Cheesefest Celebration in Shullsburg

Real cheese lovers can never get enough of the stuff! This annual event features breakfast(by the Shullsburg Fire Department), free live stage entertainment all day, cheese carving, hayrides, cheese curd eating contest, "Taste of Shullsburg" cheese baking contest, scarecrow contest, food booths, refreshments, a raffle and lots of cheese! There is also an arts & crafts fair and an antique and flea market. Let the kids try out the obstacle course sponsored by the fire department.7AM-4PM on Historic Water Street, downtown Shullsburg.

The thundering hooves of over 500 Clydesdales are coming.....and for the first time ever on U.S. soil! The Clydesdale Breeders of the United States is proud to announce the first U.S. World Clydesdale Show, the greatest gathering of Clydesdales in history! The best of the best will compete for over $70,000 in prize monies. A full slate of scheduled classes: halter classes, riding classes(Western & English), and single to eight horse hitch classes. Youth programs: Junior Saddle Classes, Halter Classes, Driving Classes and a Decorating Class. Alliant Energy Center.

10th Annual Fat Tire Memorial Tour

The Fat Tire Memorial Tour is a fun bicycle ride on paved roads, beginning with a mass group start at Champ's Sports Bar & Grill. It consists of nine designated stops at sponsoring taverns. Proceeding at your own pace, the ride is approximately 21.5 miles and the "rest" stops are evenly spaced. The ride is dedicated to Tim Hibbard and Krissy Zadler with all proceeds funding college scholarships to Badger High School graduates, and donations to local bike trail maintenance and construction. Two scholarships are awarded annually and presently eight scholarships are being funded.

A celebration of the autumn harvest season. Activities include scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin decorating, an arts & crafts fair, farmer's market, a strolling magician, hay and pony rides, live entertainment, micro-brew tasting featuring more than 28 microbrewers, and fall color tours. Clowns, face painting, and petting zoo for the kids, and lots of great food will be waiting for you. Join in on the Straw dig, free caricatures, and the Pumpkin Ring Toss. All activities located in Downtown Wisconsin Dells. Free spectator admission.
