A 1, 2 or 3 day weekend bike tour, Tour de Trempealeau will take you through some of the most scenic roads in the Midwest. Experience the seclusion of rustic backcountry roads, Amish country, quaint towns and villages and the exhilarating views from the ridge tops of the scenic highlands! Snacks and refreshments will be supplied at the start and at points along the route, as well as support vehicles. The ride will travel 140 to 160 miles of primarily county and township roads across Trempealeau County. Most of the roads used have low traffic rates of 3 vehicles per hour. The routes will be pre marked and directions will be given out for each day's ride.

MCSA sanctioned Chili cooking contest with cash prizes for best Chili, salsa, and display and costume theme. Day long event includes chili tasting, food stands, live music, and fun for the entire family. Chilimania is easily one of the Midwest's, if not the country's, most entertaining and well organized chili cook-off competitions. Stop by for a bite, some entertainment, or try your hand at one or more of the chili cooking contests. Plus the "Chili Idol" contest: it's karaoke with a live band and cash prizes! The band is provided - you provide the lead vocals AND the stage presence! On Henry Street, Edgerton. 12:00PM to 11:00PM.

This years Laura Ingalls Wilder Days will celebrate the 140th anniversary of Laura's birth in Pepin, and the 17th anniversary of this important and popular community event. Pepin Laura contest, Grand Parade (2PM Sun), traditional craft demonstrations, Old Tyme Fiddle Contest(3:30-6PM Sat), art, craft & antique market, Saturday night festivities continue with the candlelight traditional crafts demonstrations accompanied by a bonfire & traditional musical performances. 27th Annual Villa Louis Carriage Classic

Magnificent horses, elegantly restored carriages, and meticulously dressed drivers meet for a weekend of competitive arena and cross-country sport driving. Spectators will be treated to a visual display taking them back in time to the 1800 and early 1900's: Elegantly clothed drivers seated on beautiful horse drawn vehicles, being conveyed around the grounds by immaculately groomed horses in finely polished harnesses. Singles, pairs, tandems, and four-in-hand turnouts will again grace the lawn of Villa Louis celebrating the history of the Artesian Stock Farm. 521 N Villa Louis Road. Event starts at 10:00AM and ends at 5:00PM.

Ironman Wisconsin Triathlon

September 9th, 2007 Madison
One of three new Ironman North America events. Swim 2.4 miles. Bike 112 miles, and Run 26.2 miles. The pinnacle of athletic competition. The 140-mile triathlon begins at 7AM and is scheduled to end at Midnight. Monona Terrace (transition area) allows spectators to view the swim from above. Spectators can then take a bus from the Alliant Energy Center to the city of Verona to watch their athletes pass by twice. The run course is through the streets of downtown Madison. Spectators can line the streets of the course to view the race. Downtown & City Parks.

25th Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival

September 14th thru 16th, 2007 Cable
Since 1983, the race has grown from a field of 27 adventurers to 2500 mountain bikers. On Friday, warm-up on area trails, pasta feast, product displays, and award presentations. Saturday is race day. The Chequamegon 40 is a 40-mile with 1,700 participants, and the Short and Fat is a 16-mile (both mass start). Saturday, kids can ride in the decorated bicycle parades in both Hayward and Cable. Bike decorations will be provided. Prizes, surprises and treats for all involved. Sunday the 16th kids can ride in the Bicycle Rodeo at Telemark Resort from 10AM to 1PM. The parade and rodeo are free and open to all children under 12. Helmets required.

40th Annual Wo-Zah-Wa Festival

September 14th thru 16th, 2007 Wisconsin Dells
A festive celebration of autumn, Wo-Zha-Wa Days is filled with free family activities, including an arts and crafts fair, antique flea market, Maxwell Street Days, live entertainment and a 100-unit parade. Visitors are also invited to participate in a street carnival with refreshment concessions and the Wo-Zha-Wa Run (Half marathon and 4 mi. races at 8:00 AM from Wisconsin Dells High School). All activities take place throughout downtown Wisconsin Dells and Bowman Park.
