The state's largest, most historic annual event blends Wisconsin agricultural traditions with the excitement of a contemporary, urban event. International Bazaar, amusement park thrill rides, blue ribbon livestock, 28 stages of top-name entertainment, and world-famous cream puffs entice fairgoers of all ages. Gates are open from 8AM to 11PM with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays when the Fair Park is open until 12AM. Midway is open from 10AM to 11PM daily. On Closing Day, Sunday, August 12, the Fair Park will

The American Le Mans Series returns for its 5th exciting year. The August 9-12 weekend will co-feature American Le Mans on Saturday, and the Champ Car World Series on Sunday. In addition, three support races; including Champ Car Atlantic, Star Mazda and Formula BMW. Also, four classes of machines, with two drivers for each car, compete head-to-head. Support series include Formula BMW, IMSA GT3, Skip Barber, Speed World Challenge GT & Touring, and Star Mazda. N7390 State Road 67.

4th Annual Lamar Music Festival

August 10 thru 12, 2007 St Croix Falls
A music and entertainment fundraiser to help restore the century-old Lamar schoolhouse into a thriving community center and place for arts and education. The 1905 two-room schoolhouse was placed on the Historic Register of Places in 1982 and is a non-profit organization. Friday: 6PM - 11PM, Saturday: 2PM - 11PM, Sunday August 12th: 9:30AM Gospel Music Service under the tent. Onsite parking. Solar tours. No carry-ins. Bring a lawn chair! Located at 1488 200th Street, just north of Hwy 8 and east of St. Croix Falls.

Lower Wisconsin River Thresheree |

August 10 thru 12, 2007 Boscobel
The Lower Wisconsin River Thresheree will be featuring Allis Chalmers tractors, Historic Steam and Agricultural demonstrations, and lots of food, music, and games for everyone. Vintage working machinery, threshing and lumber-sawing demos, and various other mechanical treasures from the old days. 10AM-5PM both days, with a parade at 2PM each day. Held at the Antique Club grounds, which are are located one block off of Highway 133 on Chestnut Street, sponsored by the Boscobel Antique Power Club. Contact: Harvey Zabelns.

Apple Holler Peaches and Cream Festival

Sharon retains its small town charm while offering some superb bicycling country. The network of rural roads in this area is perfect for summertime cycling. Plus there are more cows than you can shake a water bottle at! Quaint opportunities for refreshments are available at four small town ice cream shoppes - each rider receives 4 coupons for snacks or ice cream. Routes have been created to accommodate 22, 44, and 64 mile routes. All you can eat pancake breakfast at 6:30AM at Goodland Park. Registration begins at 9AM and includes maps, rest stops and free pig roast after the ride(10:30AM-3:30PM).
