For over 60 years, the House on the Rock has been a majestic work in progress. It began in 1945, when a man named Alex Jordan had a towering goal: to build a man-made retreat as awe-inspiring as the view from the rock upon which the house would eventually be built. From that spark of imagination, the House on the Rock has evolved to include displays and collections of the exotic, the unusual, and the amazing that can be viewed as three self guided tours. The tours may be purchased as a special package for all three tours called the Ultimate Experience Tour, or each tour may be purchased individually.

An exciting portal into the life and career of America's most distinguished architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Choose from one of several tours of Wright's home and 600 acre estate, Taliesin. Shop for books or items for the home at the Taliesin Bookstore. Enjoy a leisurely meal in the River View Terrace Restaurant. The Visitor Center also has exhibits featuring scale-models of Wright designed buildings, a short introductory video, and photographs of Wright works by Spring Green photographer Lance Bell. Open everyday from 9AM - 5:30PM, the Center is located along the Wisconsin River 2 miles south of Spring Green, Wisconsin, at the intersection of Hwy. 23 and County Road C.

An event that the entire family can enjoy! Shopping in downtown Spring Green while the car enthusiast or motor heads enjoy the day checking out the Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Antiques, Trucks, Exotics, and every other show car imaginable, and there is even a kids pick! Bring your car or truck to enter and go on a cruise. 24 Classes, Best of Show Awards, plus special awards for best club participation, Kids (under 12) pick, and longest distance traveled. At American Players Theatre, all the wood's a stage with 110 acres to romp around in. Picnicking with family and friends before the show is a cherished summer tradition and the walk up the hill to the theater is a natural beauty. Join the community of Spring Green in celebrating 150 years of change and growth. The Community-wide celebration will take place over Labor Day weekend on August 31, September 1 & 2. Planned events include a community Variety Show, parade w/ UW Band, chicken barbeque & picnic, post parade UW Band "Fifth Quarter", and a community garden reception at Taliesin, home of Frank Lloyd Wright. In addition to the Community-wide celebration, there will be a host of other Sesquicentennial events throughout the summer. Chamber music, history days, parades, variety show, barbeques, and more, make this a birthday celebration for the whole family.
