Tour the Shack, a re-built chicken coop along the Wisconsin River where the Leopold family stayed during weekend retreats, continues to serve as the heart of the Aldo Leopold Foundation's programs. The land surrounding the Shack and farm provides a living classroom for exploring dynamic ecological relationships. Each year, thousands of visitors are inspired through tours, seminars, and workshops in the same landscape that deeply moved Leopold.

The Villa Louis Carriage Classic is a pleasure driving show held on the beautiful grounds of the Villa Louis Historic Site, hosting one of the finest carriage driving competitions the Midwest has to offer. See elegantly clothed drivers seated on beautiful horse drawn vehicles, being conveyed around the grounds by immaculately groomed horses in finely polished harnesses. Singles, pairs, tandems, and four-in-hand turnouts will again grace the lawn of Villa Louis celebrating the history of the Artesian Stock Farm. Participate or enjoy the spectacle.

This will be the 39th year Wisconsin Dells has been welcoming the fall season with the annual Wo-Zha-Wa Days Fall Festival. A festive celebration of autumn, Wo-Zha-Wa Days is filled with free family activities, including an arts and crafts fair, antique flea market, Maxwell Street Days, live entertainment and a 100-unit parade. Visitors are also invited to participate in a street carnival with refreshment concessions and the Wo-Zha-Wa Run. All activities take place throughout downtown Wisconsin Dells and Bowman Park.

Hot blues artists, cold beer and warm Indian summer days - they all come together every September at the Berghoff & Blues Festival, held in Monroe, Wisconsin. This annual celebration of great American music, being held this year at the Joseph Huber Brewery, features some of the best of today's blues artists, good food and great beer. The Monroe Lions Club sponsors the event, with support from Berghoff Beer, brewed by the Joseph Huber Brewing Company.

The 1st Annual Paramount Blues Festival will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Lime Kiln Park. Local and National acts will come together for a day of music and celebration. Alex van der Tuuk - Author of "Paramount's Rise and Fall" will be on hand signing his book (books will be on sale at the festival). Workshops will be presented in Guitar and Harmonica.
