The 2006 Wisconsin State Fair - come out and "Experience It!" Walk through the gates of the Wisconsin State Fair and enter a 200-acre playground of family-fun, animals, entertainment, food, shopping, and much more! Experiences can range from savoring a roasted corn-on-the-cob, flying down the Giant Slide on a burlap sack, spinning on the Tilt-A-Whirl in the Midway, cheering on your favorite Racing Pig, enjoying a palate-pleasing beverage at the Microbrew Tent, or rocking out to 30 FREE Stages of Entertainment.

August 4 Eagle
Whether dressed in sunbonnets or britches, your kids will enjoy a day in the lives of the Ingalls family. A lookalike contest and old-fashioned spelling bee are among the many highlights. Old World Wisconsin. Event starts at 10:00AM and ends at 5:00PM.time.

Old World Wisconsin is the Midwest's largest outdoor museum of living history. It comprises an 1870s crossroads village and 10 ethnic farmsteads located on 576 acres of wooded hills in the Southern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest.

August 5 Mercer
20th Annual Huck Finn Day at Rugger's Landing starting at 3PM. Kids games and canoe swamp, watermelon eating contests, tube races, karaoke and a whole lot of fun. The day starts with activities and games for children and plenty of food. At 5:00 pm, it is adult time, starting with the famous adult BOAT SWAMP, consisting of a boat, a team of four people, and buckets. At the sound of a horn, the fun begins. Water flys and the last boat floating is the winner. The evening continues with music and dancing.

August 11 - 13 Boulder Junction
This year, Boulder Junction - the Musky Capital of the World will hold the "50th Annual Musky Jamboree". The Musky Jamboree celebrates Boulder Junction's longstanding love for the toothy predator that inhabits the area's waters. Don't miss this full weekend of exciting events. Highlights include a Friday night "Street Party" with a live band and fireworks, historical day with a parade and kids activities on Saturday, and a full day of events and fun on Sunday, including an arts and crafts show with 170 vendors, the Musky Fun Run, an auto show, and more.

August 16 - 20 Beaver Dam
A large 75 Acre Facility will welcome you with plenty of parking, A Huge Midway, Tremendous Main Stage Area & lots of Exhibits and Vendors! Another Year of BIG NAME ENTERTAINMENT is scheduled; Blake Shelton, SHeDAISY, Cheap Trick & Jamie O'Neal. You'll also enjoy side stages and beer tents throughout, all with different themes. Live local Country Bands, Polka & Live DJ music with Big Screen Videos! There really is something for everyone at the Dodge County Fair! 3 Miles East of Beaver Dam on State Road 33. No Carry Ins. Fair is open from 8am till 12 Midnight Daily.

August 18 - 20 Mosinee
A festival offering family entertainment, street merchants, temporary public art, an antique show, art fair, historic events, logging activities, raft races, museum tours, a variety of hands-on art making activities, children's activities, contests, demonstrations and vendors selling food and beverages. Enjoy the street entertainers, interactive displays, children and adult "hands-on" center, demonstrations and shows. Many of these activities will be found throughout the streets of our historic downtown. A logging days museum will thrill the Wisconsin River history buffs.

August 19 Stoughton
Celebrate the first-ever coffee break in Stoughton. Starting with free coffee and doughnuts, this family-friendly event features the 5K Java Jog, a free afternoon concert by The Mots, an arts and crafts fair, with over 30 booths, a classic car show and car parade featuring vintage and modern cars, children's entertainment, face painting, food booths, a beer garden, and free tours of select Stoughton landmarks. And, of course, free coffee! Come and join us as we commemorate this time-honored tradition at Stoughton, WI - Where the Coffee Break Originated! Mandt Park. Event starts at 8:00AM and ends at 4:00PM.

August 19 Wisconsin Dells
AAA brings the Ford NEXTEL Cup Race Car and Simulator to the new Tanger Outlet Center. Get an up-close look at the #6 AAA Ford Fusion, an actual backup of the car driven by Mark Martin. Sit in a race car equipped with a high tech racing simulator and compete for prizes in a head-to-head virtual racing game at up to 200 MPH! The simulator is an actual race car, modified to replicate racing conditions at the Daytona International Speedway. A computer program simulates handling characteristics, coordinating sound and visual effects with "track action" seating.
