KidsWorld Lets Kids Get Into The Act
Kids, join the circus - at Circus World's KidsWorld Circus! Step right up, and become part of the show! KidsWorld Circus gets youngsters involved in performing their own circus acts. This interactive circus program allows young children the opportunity to create their own circus performance - just as the Ringling Brothers did when they were young. Selected youngsters will play the part of prancing ponies, leaping tigers, funny clowns and mysterious magicians as they perform for their parents and peers - on their very own KidsWorld Circus stage located in the Elephant House, where the Ringlings cared for their herd of 50 elephants. KidsWorld Circus kicks off twice daily. Other kid-friendly activities include elephant, camel and pony rides, carousel rides, and much more. Be sure to put Circus World in Baraboo on your short list of fun things to see and do this summer!
Illusions of Reality Magic Show
Ingenious illusionist Tristan Christ and company will perform their high-energy "Illusions of Reality" theatrical magic shows each day, May 20 through September 4. Their show brings a bit of razzle-dazzle sleight of hand that has not been part of Circus World's performance season in recent years. "Illusions of Reality" will delight audiences of all ages twice daily - at 12:45 p.m. and at 4:45 p.m. - inside the newly renovated Hippodrome building. The new venue will allow audiences to have a much more up-close and intimate encounter with the performers than had been possible under the Big Tent.
Exhibits Open Year Round in the Irvin Feld Exhibit Hall
The Ringling Brothers Circus Winter Quarters is a National Historic Landmark. Irvin Feld Exhibit Hall and Visitor Center exhibits include The Story of the Ringling Brothers, A Century of Spectacle, Trumpets of Paper, and a big-screen video about the Ringling Brothers. A miniature circus, a clown exhibit and a host of other small exhibits can be found in the nearby Ring Barn. The W.W. Deppe Wagon Pavilion exhibits include 50 beautifully restored circus wagons, a circus train exhibit, and an exhibit titled From Horse Power to Horsepower.
Acrobats, Clowns and Ringlingville History
While at Circus World, you won't want to miss an astounding troupe of Chinese circus acrobats who are headlining Circus World's 2006 summer performance season now through September 4. These amazing acrobats perform twice daily in the Hippodrome building. Other headliners include Doodles the Clown and, for the first time ever, daily guided tours of historic Ringlingville - the original winter quarters of the Ringling Bros. Circus. For the first time, Circus World will open up the Ringling Animal House, the baggage horse barn and the Museum's wardrobe department, which houses the thousands of costumes created for the Great Circus Parade.
