Oktoberfest in La Crosse

What a wonderful time of year! The 10th largest Oktoberfest celebration in the United States is celebrating its 44th year in 2005 with the theme Autumn Bluffs Echo Oktoberfest. The event kicks off Friday, September 30th with the Opening Day Parade and the tapping of the Golden Keg.

The 3+ mile parade features floats and bands from all over the tri-state area as well as Canada. This truely family events hosts not only three magnificent parades but music, food, crafts, carnival rides and more! Each year Oktoberfest Royalty and Parade Marshals are chosen to oversee all the activities througout the week. During the festivites you will see members of the Grenadier Corp. They are the true ambassadors of the Oktoberfest event and will be escorts to the Royalty throughout the 10 day event!

A festive celebration of autumn, Wo-Zha-Wa Days is filled with free family activities, including an arts and crafts fair, antique flea market, Maxwell Street Days, live entertainment and a 100-unit parade.
